The Resident Home logistics team annually conducts a comprehensive inventory assessment across all our facilities as well as their other vendors. The objective is straightforward: to ascertain the precision of the inventory recorded within each warehouse. Since switching to Standvast, Resident Home has been able to streamline its operations and achieve its goal of processing orders and shipping them to customers in under 24 hours. This level of efficiency is not commonly seen in the Home Furnishings industry. Rapid order fulfillment not only serves as a marketing advantage, highlighting our and Resident Home’s quick and reliable service, but it also addresses a crucial success metric: reducing order cancellations. Through extensive analysis, we observed that the sooner customers receive their tracking numbers, the fewer pre-shipped cancellations occur. Even a seemingly modest 2% reduction in pre-shipped cancellations carries significant weight given Resident Home’s volume of orders.

Reduced and consolidated complexity in the fulfillment process

Prior to working with us, Resident Home operated a total of 11 locations. Currently, with our help, Resident Home has streamlined its operations to nine sites, which includes integrating one of its own fulfillment centers at its plant that we seamlessly integrated into our network. Resident Home has further reduced operating costs by closing two sites operated by another (inefficient) 3PL provider earlier this year. Our ability to handle bulky and complex products with numerous parts sets us apart from other fulfillment providers. Previously, Resident Home faced challenges in dealing with a wide variety of products, including large items like king-size mattresses and bed frames exceeding 60-70 pounds. Container flow, facility storage, and navigating the parcel shipping network, particularly with UPS and FedEx, posed difficulties. However, our high inbound capacity, surpassing that of other providers, allows us to handle four to five fully-loaded containers daily.
